Founder , Artistic Director and Conductor BICO

 Maria Nauen is a Professor of Violin, Viola and Chamber Music, and also serves as the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Beijing International Chamber Orchestra. Born in Vladivostok, Russia in 1971, she graduated from the Pedagogical Music College, the Far-East Pedagogical Institute of Music and Art, and the Far-East Academy of Music and Art in Vladivostok, Russia.  Since 1994, Maria Nauen has performed as soloist and artist of orchestras in various countries around the world. Some highlights of the various ensembles with whom she has been featured as soloist include the Pacific Ocean Symphony Orchestra in Vladivostok, Russia; the Seoul Romance Orchestra in Seoul, Korea; Chamber Orchestra "Gloria" in Khabarovsk, Russia; Orchestra of the Pacific-Ocean Fleet in Vladivostok, Russia; the "Linzer Konzertverein" in Linz, Austria; and the Johannes Kepler University Symphony Orchestra in Linz, Austria. Since December 2006, Maria has lived in Beijing, China, where she continues teaching and performing. In September 2007, she founded the Beijing International Chamber Orchestra. Also since 2007 she founded her private Music Classes at the German Embassy's School of Beijing ,Beijing City International School and British School Beijing,  where she teaches violin, viola and chamber music.     To know more about Maria Nauen, please, visit her personal website:   www.maria-nauen.com
