Maria Nauen currently resides in Beijing where she is performing as a violin and viola artist, teaching at German Embassy´s School and conducting at the Beijing International Community Orchestra.
Born in Russia, Maria studied in Far-East Academy of Music and Fine Arts , Vladivostok Music College and Central Music School named after S.Prokofiev, under great teachers as Felix Kalman, Zinoviy Fishov and Zinaida Bespalova.She holds Master of Music Education degree.
Maria Nauen has performed as soloist and artist of orchestras in various countries around the World, performing works by Brahms, Sibelius, Prokofiev,Tchaikovsky, Paganini, Telemann, Mozart and Bach, among others. Some highlights of the various ensembles with whom she has been featured as soloist include the Pacific Ocean Symphony Orchestra in Vladivostok, Russia; the Seoul Romance Orchestra in Seoul, Korea; Chamber Orchestra "Gloria" in Khabarovsk, Russia; Orchestra of the Pacific-Ocean Fleet in Vladivostok, Russia; the "Linzer Konzertverrein" in Linz, Austria; Bruckner Orchester Linz, Austria; Beijing Simphony Orchestra, China.
Maria is founder and leader of jazz quintet "Birdland", Russia and the Beijing International Chamber Orchestra, China.
She established private music classes at the German Embassy´s School Beijing, where she teaches string instruments, chamber music and string ensemble.
A highly committed educator, Maria´s work includes teaching at the German Embassy´s School Beijing, British School Beijing and Beijing City International School.
In the mean time through master classes Maria Nauen has continued to spread her way of making music, teaching in many cities of Europe and Asia.
